Serving Beavercreek Since 1974
Murphy's Autocare has been part of the Beavercreek community for over 50 years. Dave Murphy opened the doors at 3815 Dayton-Xenia Rd back in 1974, and the shop has grown steadily ever since — though the commitment to honest, thorough vehicle care has never changed. If you've lived in Beavercreek for any length of time, you've probably driven past us on your way to Fairfield Commons Mall or heading toward Wright State University.
We're a family-owned, independent shop. That means you talk to the same people every time, the technician who worked on your car can explain exactly what was done, and there's no corporate pressure to upsell services you don't need.
Where to Find Us
Our Beavercreek location sits at the corner of Dayton-Xenia Rd and Colonel Glenn Highway — one of the busiest intersections in the area. Coming from I-675? Take Exit 17 (Colonel Glenn Highway) heading east. You'll reach the intersection with Dayton-Xenia Rd in about a mile and a half. We're on the left side, easy to spot.
If you're coming from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base on the north side, head south on Colonel Glenn and cross over I-675. The shop is right at that Dayton-Xenia Rd intersection — a straight shot, roughly 10 minutes from the base's main gate.
We're also convenient to the neighborhoods near Fairfield Commons Mall and WSU's campus. Many of our customers drop off in the morning and walk or grab a ride while we work on their vehicle.

Our Technicians
Every technician on our team holds ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification, and our senior techs carry the Master Certified designation — the highest credential available in the industry. That's not a marketing phrase; it reflects years of ongoing testing and hands-on experience.
We work on all makes and models, from everyday commuter cars to pickups, SUVs, and hybrid vehicles. Common services at our Beavercreek shop include:
- Oil changes and scheduled maintenance
- Brake inspection and repair
- Tire rotation, balancing, and replacement
- Engine diagnostics and repair
- Transmission service
- Shocks, struts, and suspension work
- Air conditioning repair
- Timing belt replacement
We also service light-duty diesel trucks and SUVs — Duramax, Powerstroke, Cummins, and EcoDiesel engines. From routine diesel oil changes to injector replacement and DEF system repair, our technicians have the training and equipment for diesel-specific work. Learn more about our diesel services →
Digital Vehicle Inspections
When your vehicle comes in, we perform a digital inspection using photos and video so you can see exactly what our technicians see. The report is sent directly to your phone. You can review the findings, ask questions, and approve or decline individual services — all before any work begins.
This approach eliminates surprises. You're not standing at the counter trying to make a fast decision; you have the information in hand and time to think it through.
Shuttle Service
We offer a complimentary shuttle for customers who need to get to work, home, or anywhere nearby while their vehicle is in the shop. Just let us know when you schedule your appointment and we'll arrange a pickup time that works with your day.
Frequently Asked Questions
How long has Murphy's been in Beavercreek?
Dave Murphy founded the Beavercreek location in 1974. The shop has operated continuously at 3815 Dayton-Xenia Rd for over five decades, making it one of the longest-running independent service shops in the area.
Do I need an appointment?
We strongly recommend scheduling in advance. You can call us at 937-426-2886 or use our online scheduler. Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but appointments help us give your vehicle the time it deserves.
What's included in the digital inspection?
Our technicians photograph and sometimes video key components — brakes, tires, fluids, belts, hoses, and suspension parts — and annotate what they find. You'll receive a link to the report on your phone. Green means good, yellow means watch it, red means it needs attention now. Nothing is repaired without your go-ahead.
Do you work on vehicles from Wright-Patterson AFB?
Absolutely. We serve a lot of active-duty personnel, veterans, and civilian employees from Wright-Patt. We understand PCS schedules and deployment timelines. If you need service completed before a move or before a long trip, let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate your schedule.
Ready to schedule? Give us a call at 937-426-2886 or stop by the shop at 3815 Dayton-Xenia Rd. We're open Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm.
