In The Shop takes you onto the shop floor at Murphy's Autocare. Some of these posts started as episodes of Dave Murphy's In The Shop video series, where he shows a real customer vehicle on the lift and explains what failed, why it failed, and how the repair is done.
You will find timing chains, brakes and brake fluid, shocks and struts, A/C that has lost its cold, vibrations at highway speed, slow-cranking batteries, and other everyday repairs, plus shop news and openings for technicians. The goal is the same as our digital vehicle inspections: show you what the technician sees, in plain language, so you understand the repair before you approve it.
