Diesel Truck Service at Our Centerville Location
When Murphy's Autocare opened our second location at 100 N Main St in Centerville in 2021, we brought the same diesel service capabilities that the Beavercreek shop has been providing for decades. Our Centerville technicians are ASE Master Certified and equipped to work on light-duty diesel trucks, diesel SUVs, commercial vans, and diesel Jeeps.
If you live on the south side of Dayton — Centerville, Washington Township, Springboro, Miamisburg, or Kettering — our Main Street location puts diesel service within a few minutes' drive. You're not making the trip across town to Beavercreek anymore. Drop your truck off on Main Street, grab a coffee at one of the downtown shops, and we'll call you when it's ready.
Diesel Engines We Service
Our Centerville shop works on all common light-duty diesel platforms:
- 3.0L Duramax (Mini Max) — Silverado 1500, Sierra 1500, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon
- 6.6L Duramax — Silverado/Sierra 2500HD and 3500HD
- 6.7L Powerstroke — Ford F-250, F-350, F-450 Super Duty
- 6.7L Cummins — Ram 2500 and 3500
- EcoDiesel — Ram 1500, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Gladiator
Diesel Services at Centerville
Maintenance — Diesel oil & filter changes with the correct specification for your engine, fuel filter replacement, air filter service, cooling system service, DEF fluid top-off, and oil pump belt inspection for the 3.0L Duramax. We keep your diesel on its maintenance schedule so you're not dealing with expensive repairs down the road.
Diagnostics — Check engine light diagnosis, fuel system testing, turbocharger diagnostics, low oil pressure investigation, and glow plug evaluation. Diesel diagnostics require understanding each platform's specific fault codes and systems — we don't just read codes and guess.
Repair — Injector replacement, turbo replacement, EGR system repairs, DEF system diagnosis and repair, and high-pressure fuel system service. We source OE-quality parts and follow manufacturer procedures for each engine platform.

What Dayton Truck Owners Say About Us
Friendly staff provides service with integrity.
Outstanding shop! Customer service was exceptional and master mechanics walked and talked through the work necessary to repair my dodge truck. I highly recommend this business to diagnose and repair…
Murphy's provides the service the customer needs and desires rather than recommending the service that nets them the most money. Honest, qualified and work with integrity. I highly recommend them.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Centerville location equipped for diesel work?
Yes. The Centerville shop has the same diesel diagnostic capabilities and ASE Master Certified technicians as our Beavercreek location. When we opened the Centerville shop, we made sure it could handle the full range of diesel services — not just oil changes, but diagnostics and repairs too. Both shops operate under the same ownership and standards.
What areas does the Centerville location serve for diesel repair?
We're convenient for diesel owners throughout Centerville, Washington Township, Kettering, Springboro, Miamisburg, West Carrollton, and the south Dayton suburbs. Our downtown Centerville location is centrally located for anyone on the south side of the metro area.
Can I wait while you change the oil in my diesel truck?
Diesel oil changes take a bit longer than gas engine oil changes — the engine holds more oil, we change the fuel filter at the same time (if due), and we perform a digital inspection. Plan on 45 minutes to an hour. You're welcome to wait, or take advantage of our shuttle service. Downtown Centerville is walkable if you'd rather stretch your legs.
