Making a difference in the fight against breast cancer
Murphy's Autocare of Beavercreek and Centerville is hoping to make a difference in the fight against breast cancer.
During the entire month of October, Murphy's Autocare is running a brake service promotion that includes free brake pads and/or brake shoes with the purchase of a complete brake service. 10% of brake service sales during October will then be donated to KMC's Women's Wellness Fund.
Let's join together to fight cancer!
How to take part
- Book a brake appointment in October. Call Beavercreek or Centerville, or schedule online.
- Get a digital brake inspection. Technicians document your pads, shoes, rotors or drums, and brake fluid with photos and video sent to your phone or email.
- Approve the work. You see what needs replacing before anything is done.
- Your pads or shoes are free with the purchase of a complete brake service, and 10% of your brake service goes to the Women's Wellness Fund.
What a brake inspection looks at
- Pads and shoes: how much friction material is left
- Rotors and drums: wear, scoring, and warping that cause pulsing
- Calipers and hardware: sticking or seized parts that wear pads unevenly
- Brake lines and hoses: leaks, cracks, and rust, which Ohio road salt speeds up
- Brake fluid: moisture absorbed over time lowers its boiling point. See Is a brake fluid change really necessary?
Not every brake job needs new rotors or calipers. When it does, Time to Replace Brake Rotors and Calipers explains why.
A tradition since 2015
This is part of a long-running October tradition at Murphy's Autocare. It began with Brakes for Breasts, a nationwide shop fundraiser for Cleveland Clinic breast cancer vaccine research, and now supports women's health right here in the Miami Valley through Kettering Health. Thank you to every customer who books a brake service in October. For brake work any time of year, see Who works on brakes near me?
