Looking for Motorhome Service and Repair?

If you're looking for a motorhome service and repair provider, look no further than Murphy's Autocare in Beavercreek. We service all types of motorhomes. In this clip from our YouTube channel, Dave Murphy shows a customer's Class A motorhome in for service and repairs. We are happy to complete regular maintenance on your motorhome, take care of needed repairs, or get it winterized for the winter.

What motorhome service covers

A motorhome is a house built on a truck chassis, and the chassis needs the same care as any heavy vehicle, often more. It carries a lot of weight, sits for long stretches, and then runs for hours at highway speed. Chassis service includes:

  • Engine oil and filters on the manufacturer's schedule
  • Brakes, which work hard stopping a heavy vehicle, especially on hills
  • Tires, which can age out from sitting before the tread wears out
  • Cooling system, belts, and hoses, which take a beating on long climbs
  • Batteries, which drain during storage
  • Steering and suspension, which carry the weight of the coach

Before a trip

  • Check tire pressure cold, and inspect the sidewalls for cracks
  • Check the engine oil, coolant, and brake fluid
  • Test the headlights, brake lights, and turn signals
  • Look for fluid spots where the motorhome has been parked
  • Start it a few days early so problems show up before you leave

Before storage

Ohio winters are hard on a parked motorhome. Water left in the lines can freeze and crack them, batteries drain, and tires develop flat spots. Winterizing protects the plumbing, and a pre-storage inspection catches problems while there is time to fix them before spring.

How service works at Murphy's

Call the Beavercreek shop before you come in so we can plan the bay time for a vehicle that size. Every vehicle gets a digital inspection with photos and video sent to your phone or email, and nothing is repaired until you approve it. We also service cars, trucks, and light-duty diesels.
