Getting Here from the Base

From Area A (Gate 12A): Head west on Colonel Glenn Highway out of the gate area. Follow Colonel Glenn past the WSU campus and across I-675. Turn south on Dayton-Xenia Rd. Murphy's is immediately at that intersection on your right. Under 10 minutes in normal traffic.

From Area B (Gate 26B): Head south on Kauffman Ave to Colonel Glenn Highway. Turn west and follow the same route — past I-675 and south on Dayton-Xenia Rd. Also about 10 minutes.

The route is the same road Beavercreek commuters use every day — you'll figure it out quickly.

How We Accommodate Military Schedules

We know duty hours aren't always predictable. We open at 7:30am Monday through Friday, which means you can drop your vehicle off before morning formation. Our shuttle service gets you where you need to be, and we'll have your vehicle ready as soon as the work is done.

If you're working around a training schedule, TDY, or other constraints, call ahead and tell us. We'll do what we can to get your vehicle in and out on your timeline.

PCS Prep — Don't Leave Without This

If you're PCSing out of Wright-Patterson, your vehicle needs to be ready for the drive — wherever that takes you. We recommend scheduling a pre-PCS inspection that covers:

• Full brake system check
• Tire condition and pressure (including spare)
• Fluid levels and condition — oil, coolant, transmission, brake fluid
• Battery load test
• Belts, hoses, and filters
• Air conditioning — critical if you're heading somewhere warm

Do you work with government vehicles or fleet accounts?

Our focus is on personal vehicles owned by military personnel, civilian employees, and families. We don't perform maintenance on government-owned tactical or fleet vehicles, but if your unit or office has a need for light commercial fleet service on POVs or non-tactical vehicles, call us and we'll discuss what we can accommodate.

Can you work around irregular duty schedules?

We do our best. We open at 7:30am, which works for most morning drop-offs. If you have a specific time constraint — an exercise, a TDY window, a change of command coming up — let us know when you call and we'll try to fit your timeline. Walk-ins are welcome when our schedule allows, but for military personnel with tight windows, an appointment is always better.

Is there somewhere to wait near the shop?

We offer a complimentary shuttle. You can also have someone drop you back on base. If you prefer to wait, there are coffee shops and restaurants nearby on Dayton-Xenia Rd. Our advisors will give you a realistic time estimate when you drop off.

What should I do if my car breaks down near base?

Call us at 937-426-2886. If you're near the Colonel Glenn / Dayton-Xenia intersection, you're practically at our door. For breakdowns further out, we can advise on towing options. We work with local tow services that know the area.

Can my spouse use the shuttle if I'm at work on base?

Absolutely. Shuttle service is available to anyone dropping off a vehicle at Murphy's, not just the primary vehicle owner. Family members, spouses, and dependents use our shuttle regularly.
