I’ve been going to Murphy’s for auto service for years. They are not the cheapest in town, but they do have the best customer service. To me, it’s worth paying a little extra for service that definitely goes the extra mile. After every service, I get an inspection report with photos of my vehicle and the issues that need addressed now, in the near future or long term. They are always willing to work with you to make the best decisions for your vehicle as well as your pocketbook. Appreciate everything they do. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
They were consummate professionals and handled me and my vehicle with great consideration and care. They listened to my concerns and offered realistic and reasonable solutions. These guys are so nice! They're very knowledgeable and explain everything in perfect detail. I love that they take pictures of your vehicle parts that need to be replaced. They show you the pictures and explain the function of the parts and how they affect the performance of your vehicle. They also print out pages of the parts that need to be replaced/ repaired, but put them in order of importance. It's evident they put safety first, but also know some things may be very expensive and make it easy to get the most important work done first. I'm very leary about mechanic shops, being a female. I've been ripped off before. But I didn't feel that way at all at Murphy's!
I have taken my car here three times now and each time I’ve had a wonderful experience! Not only do they address the problems with excellence, they are also extremely kind and helpful. I definitely recommend this place!
Hadn't gone there before but definitely will again. They made room for me on short notice and had no issues working on my Prius. Plus their notification system and approach are both top notch. Highly recommend.
They took such great care of my Buick! Worked with my warranty company to drop my out of my pocket costs from $1200 to $300. Came and picked me up when she was ready, just a really great experience. Will be a returning customer. :)

I would probably give you guys five out of five stars for your service team. The only other way my experience could be better would be if it was free. My grandfather was a retired air Force lieutenant Tuskegee airmen, knowledgeable mechanic, and proud beavercreek resident. He first recommended your shop, pass it to my uncle's which who have passed it down to me now. The service is great I don't feel like I'm being lied too, the friendly environment makes it my shop of choice. In which I will recommend to my family and friends. Thank you
My car broke down in Beavercreek on a Wednesday. I recently lost my mechanic so I was super stressed. I came accross Murphy's during a basic Google search while stranded at the gas station. Just the calming voice of the dude on the phone made me feel comfortable bringing my car in. They got me a tow in less than 30 minutes! The text to phone breakdown with photos the next day really helped me understand the problem and what needed to be fixed. Overly convenient! Not even close to overpriced. I will go back and have already referred others. Stellar spot!!
Eric was extremely professional, kind, and transparent. Diagnosis was very thorough with pictures and descriptions of the recommended work. Ultimately the labor rates were too high, so I took my truck to AAA to get the actual repair on my AC completed.
Very knowledgeable and took the time to explain what was happening and reviewed all anticipated charges (parts and labor) upfront fo a kid surprises. Multiple updates through the process and they started with the least expensive / impactful options when ruling things out as opposed to just going for the high dollar items. Great communication throughout and I’m very happy with the entire process.
My car is a 10 year old car with over 104965 miles. It needed several items to be taken care of and technicians at Murphy’s auto care identified maintenance into immediate needs and things that may be planned for future. The technicians did a test drive, replaced my very worn tires, fixed the hatch issue and door issue along with regular maintenance. During the whole period, Eric was in contact with me, explaining the inspection details, accommodating my questions, providing me courtesy transport (Kevin & Dave), and delivering the car completing services on time. I’ll recommend my friends and family to Murphy’s auto care for exceptional service. No, nobody twisted my arm this review! I also listen to the weekend radio program on 1290 WHIO.
I"ve been to many shops over the years.This is the first shop that literally showed me ever part they checked and gave simple explanations why it did or didn't need service before doing any.That was amazing in itself.
Brian was able to fix problems with a “competitors” work. The equipment they use is top of the line. I would highly recommend them for any automotive repair. The shop is clean, staff is nice and the technology they use to keep you updated on your repairs and the ability to reference pictures of before and after is priceless. I really enjoyed leaving without that thought of “ did I just get screwed?, were the techs doing burnouts?” The typical questions that arise from leaving some shops. Thank you again Brian.
We recently moved to the area and I was looking for an honest place to take my car to get some work done and had a GREAT first experience here today! Brian was super friendly when I arrived and explained their process to me. They send a detailed report via email/text with pictures of the work that needed done or work they suggested to be done. When I picked up the car Brian explained in more detail what they saw and that they rent a car out or offer pick up/drop off services if needed! I will definitely be taking our vehicles there for future work!
The crew at Murphy's is top notch. We had a puzzling problem with our vehicle. It took several visits to figure out what was happening. The guys even came to our home early one morning to problem solve. I always get a thorough explanation about the problems and a common sense approach to the repair needed. None of my questions or my lack of knowledge are judged. Great job team Murphy.
I recently took my older Toyota Camry in for service and someone had recommended Murphy's to me. At other repair shops, they may fix your car but I never leave feeling like I understood what they did or that they really had my best intentions at heart. Not at Murphy's Autocare. When I called to schedule brake service, Eric talked with me over the phone for a very long time to ask me questions and to ensure he understood the problem. Then after fixing my car, they gave me a full, detailed write up of the service they performed, gave me photos and videos of areas my car needs attention to in the future (but not pushing sales). The experience was incredible and the customer service was best in class. I have since taken my other car there for service and had the exact same positive experience. I'm never going to another auto repair shop again - Murphy's is the VERY BEST!
I heard about this place from a friend who suggested we take our vehicle to be diagnosed for what I suspected was an electrical problem. I had taken my car to the Dealership 4 times in hope's of having the issue fixed with no success. We made the appointment late in the day and they were able to look at my vehicle the next day. Not only did they diagnose the problem in a few hours, I was highly impressed with their diagnostics procedures. They took pictures every step of the way and kept in touch with me the entire time! There was no doubt they knew their stuff! We def be repeat customers from now on!

Outstanding service...second to none. I've been dealing with car repair shops in various states for 20yrs...This is simply the best most professional shop I've seen, bar none. They set the bar for how a mechanic shop should operate and accommodate their customers. Would recommend to anyone.
I had to get an oil change, transmission fluid flush, and check the engine light on my car. They did all that plus a general inspection which was super helpful. The people were very nice and good at explaining the issues with my car.
From someone that works random hours, Murphy's works with you and makes it as easy as possible to schedule appts. They are honest and upfront about costs and final prices often match initial estimates. No steps are taken without your prior approval. Most unique to Murphy's though is that you get an emailed report with pictures of your cars parts and is color coded in severity of needing addressed- immediate, recommended, suggested, etc. They will run through the report with you in laymen's terms. Much appreciated. I had a shop around the corner to my house that I could walk to and I chose to drive across town once I found out about Murphy's. They go above and beyond!

We've been taking our vehicle to Murphy's for about two years now. I love their inspection reports that clearly layout the priority of its needs and images of the vehicle's parts. They've always been very kind and patient when answering our questions about our vehicle and the repairs it needs so that we feel comfortable and confident in the work going into our car. Their customer service is top notch in our book.

Top notch place! My daughter recently attended a homeschool field trip here and I was blown away by the amount of info they shared with these kids. This place is awesome! We went here for a homeschool field trip, and everyone was very friendly and informative. My son is a car fanatic and loved learning about some of the amazing technology this shop uses. I’m definitely going to take my car (it’s my baby!) to this place the next time it needs work.
My 13yr old daughter recently participated in a tour/demo with our homeschool group. They were really great with the kids and taught them quite a bit.

Took my wife's Equinox here as it was running real bad and leaking oil without notice. Staff was friendly and quick to check the vehicle, further trying to find the root of the issue instead of a quick repair and get me out of there. Unfortunately, the engine was done (6 year old car with less than 80k mileage, come-on Chevy), but they even contacted the manufacture to try and get some of the repairs covered, although without success. By Wednesday night, we had agreed on the work to replace the engine, along with some other repairs (minor in comparison). They started the work right away and the car was completely finished by Saturday, though they kept it until Monday just to make sure everything was normal. Even allowed us to drive one of their rentals (nothing fancy, but convenient and well priced) for those 5 days and ended up not charging us. Will return, though hopefully won't have anymore big problems. Have already told the wife we will use them even for oil changes from now on.
First time at Murphy's. Hoping it wouldn't be like past experience with other garages. To my pleasant surprise, they did the job right and on time, kept us in the loop, very polite and professional. I plan to keep my car for 200,000 miles. Will be back the next time my older Chevy acts up.

I was very pleased with the service at Murphy's Auto. It was the first time i had my car serviced there. They did diagnostics and showed me the screen shots of the results. Their diagnostics found a problem that other mechanics could not find. They serviced my vehicle promptly, called me with updates and took the time to explain the problems and how they would fix them.
Murphy's is probably the best Auto repair shop I have been too. Friendly and Knowledgeable staff. They even reminded me when my car is due for an oil change!

I had my transmission oil checked using their analysis service and they did a free inspection of my car. It was wonderful to find out what needed to be replaced on my car and I received an excellent description on what could happen if I didn't complete these standard recommended maintenance issues. Very happy with the service I received. My dad also loves listening to their radio show.
I was surprised how thoroughly detailed the inspection was when I got my report back. I declined their recommended repairs, but still received a few tips on what I should do next to fix the problems on my own. If I need services in the future, they will get my business again.
I’ve been looking for an independent automotive garage to have our cars serviced. I have found it at Murphy’s Autocare! Great experience with friendly knowledgeable staff that have been around a long time. I received an email first with a detailed estimate with pictures and explanation of what was needed to repair my truck and that was followed shortly after with a phone call to go over estimate. Repairs and routine maintenance were listed and ranked in order of importance so I could easily decide what needed repaired right away and what items I could wait to have done along with advice on each item. Getting auto repairs done can be very frustrating but the experience I had was top notch! Thank you Dave Murphy and staff who all helped me.
Murphy's Autocare is modern auto service. I was very impressed with their operation and attention to detail. This is the first shop in a long time that I felt very comfortable that my car was in good hands. Between the text message updates and being able to see all the details of each service visit on the web service they use (which is very cool), it makes you feel like you are truly involved in every little detail about your service visit. I don't think I've ever said this about a shop, but I actually look forward to bringing my vehicles in for service.
Today was my first time having my car serviced at Murphy's. I'm always pretty nervous about mechanics because honestly, I know very little about cars and you always hear people being taken advantage of. More than anything, I want honest and open conversations when getting my car fixed. They were able to fit me in on short notice after my tire blew and Ryan never made me feel silly for knowing so little about anything car related. He was very nice and understanding.The prices were reasonable (plus supporting a local business feels better than large corporations) and Ryan was upfront about the total cost. I look forward to seeing if this service and trust continues! Thank you for patience, quick service, and help. I'm still nervous about dealing with car stuff (I secretly wish I could sell my car and bike EVERYWHERE!!) but I hope continuing to come here and having positive experiences will help with that!
Wow, what a great service. Murphy's is the place to take your car if you need help fixing it. I had problems with my A/C, and they took me in this morning and by 330pm, it was fixed. They sent me a text an email and left a voice mail when they diagnosed the problem. Superb customer service. I asked around town and they were highly recommended, was told they are a little bit more expensive than other shops. It is worth paying the extra and get the great service that they provide. I dont think there is any other car repair shop in Dayton that can match their customer service and repair skills. Honest people. I will definitely return if i ever have issues with my car. Service is good here. I got a full vehicle inspection for $138 and a trade in value report printed for a vehicle I was purchasing in the area.
When you drop off a vehicle you'll get status updates via email, text, and phone call which might be overkill.
I took my Lexus to two other mechanics before Murphy's and neither could figure out the problem. Murphy's got right to it and fixed it perfectly the first time. Very good job and the amount of detailed diagnostic information they give is simply amazing. Staff is courteous and professional. I've been to cheaper mechanics but you get what you pay for and these folks are definitely worth it.
Murphy's Autocare is a trustworthy mechanic that I would recommend to anyone looking to get their car fixed. I just moved to Dayton, Ohio last year and my brake light switch went out. I searched the web to find a mechanic with good reviews and with all of the raving reviews for Murphy's, I decided to take my car in to get worked on. Now, about 10 months later the same problem has come up again. I called Murphy's and they told me that they have a 3 year warranty on their parts and services and told me to take my car in for them to inspect. With no additional charge, they went above and beyond to make sure there wasn't a deeper issue and installed a new brake light switch. Very pleased with their thorough work--Thanks Murphy's!

Brian and the rest of the crew are fantastic. Did a complete inspection and told us everything that needed repairing, and even told us what was urgent and what could wait. Great service and fast work. We were back on the road by the end of the day.
I really like the friendliness and professionalism that you receive at Murphys Autocare. My car is older and sometimes the pricing exceeds my expectations for repair If I had a newer car I would not question the cost as much. I have 2 times now heard them on the radio and it happens that that is exactly what I need to check and they are always what I say is honest in their assessment. I trust them. Marie is a gem
